Nature Park Texelgruppe

Useful links
The Nature Park Texelgruppe covers a surface of 33,430 ha and is the biggest Nature Park of South Tyrol. The Park includes the entire Texelgruppe – the extensive alpine landscape between the Schnals Valley in the west and the Passeier Valley in the east, parts of the Stubai and Ötztal Alps – with the Schnalser Kamm and the Gurgler Kamm.
The privileged position (in the Burggrafenamt area), safe and well-marked hiking trails as well as easy-to-reach access roads turn the area during the summer months into a hiker’s paradise.
The hiking trail Meraner Höhenweg with a length of nearly 100 km offers the opportunity to discover the entire Texelgruppe. The nine Spronser lakes – the biggest alpine lake group of South Tyrol – each lake with its own shape and colour, are part of the most beautiful characteristics of the area.
