Start at the tourist information office, cross the church square (Kirchplatz) and continue along Schlossweg to the “Knappenloch” tunnel. Walk to the foot of the earth pyramids along the short, steep climb to the kiosk. At the “Leisterhof” bear right. Continue along the short path to the fork. Follow the driveway to the Schneeweisshof as far as the Weissguetl snack station. After 300 m turn left below the Oberoetzbauerhof along a short forest track to the Unteroetzbauerhof. Turn left and continue to Thurnstein Castle. Now follow the short climb to Schlossweg, past St. Peter to Tyrol Castle. Return via Schlossweg and then Falknerweg back to the starting point.
