Take the bus to the Hochmuth cable car valley station. Take the cable car up the mountain to the Hochmuth (inn). Set out along trail no. 24 to Steinegg (inn), then continue left along trail no. 24, the “Obere Felsenweg” trail (Hans Frieden Weg) to the Leiter Alp (inn, 1522 m), (good head for heights needed). Take trail no. 25 down the mountain to Vellau (inn). Trail no. 25A also goes to Vellau, just somewhat further to the west. From Vellau, trail no. 26 passes “Birbamegg” farm, then continues to St. Peter and Tyrol Castle back to Dorf Tirol.
