Burglehen park

In June 2002, Dorf Tirol celebrated the opening of the new “Burglehen park”. The park, surrounded by orchards and vineyards, offers a magnificent 360°view on the surrounding area and invites you to relax and linger.
The planning efforts aimed at the concept of “unspoiled nature”: the ancient meadow was preserved and in the middle of the park a natural pond was formed offering an amazing panoramic view on the surrounding valley- and mountain landscape.
For children, a beautiful playground is set within the Burglehen park. Besides a multitude of slides, swings and climbing frames, the park offers a truly special attraction: the horse “Jakob”. The horse of steel was an invention of the famous South Tyrolean artist Franz Messner and it is dedicated to all the children of this world. In particular, the combination of objet d’art and playground toy makes “Jakob” a successful and unique eye-catcher at the entry of the village.
